Everything is dictated by the King and the administrators of each floor.
[ his world is very rule specific in some areas despite being the wild west in others. though this isn't about his world, so he moves on. ]

Most days have more than one holiday—that doesn't even make sense.
Book Giving Day, Library Lovers Day, National Ferris Wheel Day, Valentine's Day, Bonobo Day, Welsh Music Day...
[ they're all foreign to him and he has no idea that one of these is the only real relevant holiday on February 14th. ]
