[ Even with the silence that follows, Tatara doesn't doubt for a second that Aguero doesn't like it. He sees it in his smile and his eyes, in turn, soften, and he's just happy that the depths of what he feels gets across.

His heart burns and it feels like lightning courses through him all over again. Fireworks settle in his chest and Aguero's smile and laugh and voice and past and fish are all things he would never have any other way.

His own grin is broad and stupid, and he knows the warmth he feels isn't from the sun. ]

It's true, though. You turned my whole world upside down, Aguero. I was ready to hit the ground but you caught me instead. Now I don't think...I'd change that for the world.

[ There are things there, unsaid, that will hang over them in the days to come, before Tatara can really find the words for it and say it out loud. ]

I think... [ He pauses to tilt his head, still admiring all the little features on his face. ] It's because of your past lights that you shine so bright now. I'll never lose you in the dark.
