I was trying to consider whether it would be likely that the fragment removed from the stone in the north might have caused the explosion in the east whether due to some fault of handling or intervention from the previous wizards, but ... Again, I don't know exactly when the previous wizards disappeared, nor exactly when the explosion occurred, nor exactly when the moonstone in the north was removed from its resting place. Only that they must have occurred roughly around when or before we were summoned.
Which is to say, I can't establish where they'd fall in relation to each other on a timeline, much less confirm whether one might have led to another.
