All magic requires something to be sacrificed to use it - not just healing magic. What's sacrificed depends on the caster. Things like sound, memories, dreams - even your own life or soul - are possible sacrifices a mage might make in order to weave their spell.

It might be alright if it's someone whose sacrifice is their dreams. But you can see the problem if it's something more significant than that.
