[ Jing Yuan has always been something of a (realistic?) optimist first and foremost, so he does think it is the case. This world is still unknown to them, but the possibilities already seem endless. ]

And I would say it'd be best to keep thinking that way.

It could simply be the way magic is controlled in this world that is different than yours. One's efforts can be great, but even great practice and time won't make much of a dent until our bodies acclimate here.

Then again...there is the fact we are not supposed to even be here. Perhaps that too has a role to play?
