It's not fine. How common knowldge is it among humans? There's nothing to say that during these stupid jobs or little outings or even at this party humans have gotten any of the people summoned to make promises without thinking— you don't know if they're not being taken advantage of right now.

( And the way Mika says it, it's a tangible threat - like Tatara saying it has spoken it into being, an immediate danger, something encroaching the walls.

Something being dearly wrong without him knowing, something bad going on until it's too late to stop it - these are his primary fears. )
