[ Jing Yuan has no tinge of regret at all for what he did or for what he has done at all. If anything, it is rare that he has the opportunity to do this sort of thing for anyone...if at all. He truly can't remember the last time he held anyone in any sort of embrace for any reason.
All the same, there is still something about knowing the display of vulnerability in a place filled with important people would potentially be viewed as something less than ideal or with scorn. So, there is definitely intent in his actions, to not only assuage that hurt gently in Tatara's heart with gentle care, but also to protect him. He deserves that much.
