Depends on the value you place on your sacrifice versus the spells you cast.

In my world, all magic comes at a price. Sound, memories... even your own soul or life could be used, little by little, with every spell. And what, exactly, you have to give up is all luck of the draw.

My sacrifice is myself - my own body. They were hoping they could just patch me up again so I could use magic indefinitely, but it didn't work out.

They just couldn't keep up with the damages anymore.
