LIGHT UP THE FIREWORKS

Lazuli seems… agitated, this morning. Not so much in the sense that he’s irritable (because that's just normal, really), but it seems as if something has gotten under his skin. He keeps looking up, out the windows or out over the horizon, and it seems eventually he grows tired of whatever it is bothering him. He accosts whoever it is that seems to have little to do this day, gathering a group of competent (...?) wizards.

“I need you to come with me,” he says, arms crossed and a furrow between his brows. “Something’s not right, even more than things usually aren't right.”

Vague, but do you really have the option to ignore him? You can certainly try, but it won’t get you anywhere. You’re being dragged onto this impromptu excursion whether you want to go or not. Lazuli drags the group to the elevator, using a mana stone to transport everyone to the Northern tower. On the other side is the same snowy wasteland that’s always there, and nothing seems amiss no matter how hard you strain your senses. Lazuli seems to get even more tense, though, summoning and mounting his broom.

“Follow me. We can talk while we fly, but we don’t have long.”

He bows his head politely.]

Kurapika of Central. We'll probably take you back with us, since this really isn't the sort of place to hang around.

No, I can't say this place looks very... safe.

A manor? Are you a part of a noble family, or some such thing...?

We're a group of strangers gathered together for a common cause. Though I think once we get to the manor and introduce you to the Sage, it'll make a lot more sense than my simply explaining it.

[He's not sure if the lack of noble oversight is a good or bad thing... On the one hand, it sounds like there's less politicking involved? On the other hand, finances... Hmm.]

You're right, I'm sure all will become clearer in time. It sounds like... you're not of this star, either?

No. I'm from a world completely different than this one.

[ He shoves his hands into his pockets. ]

In fact, all of those you'll meet at the manor are from somewhere else. I don't know that there's a single person who has someone else from their planet here with them, either.

[ But hey, maybe there are and he just doesn't know. ]

I'm sure that's only added to the troubles faced by bringing disparate peoples together.
