[Sure enough, there’s a gathering of teens (and maybe some not-so-teens?) to be found in the bar! While the posting mentions this is a teen only event, adults are in fact allowed as long as they are cool. OOCLY please be aware there are going to be teens drinking alcohol and possibly smoking! Also additionally, please let the teens/players have fun; again, adults are allowed but only if they’re cool enough to play along without snitching them out!

All party game top levels are going to be made under Ahito’s account but please assume ICly that Akira instigated/explained them! Once the game toplevels are up you can also post your own toplevels to mingle freely if you like IDK IT’S A PARTY HAVE FUN]

Humans ended the world when I was 12, I lived as livestock for vampires until I was killed at 14, lived as some vampires' pet until I was 16, and as a bonus I find out me and the only surviving family I have left have both been subject to human experiments the entire time. I finally find him again, then I get killed thanks to some jackass, bastard, backstabbing human ( fuck you guren ) trying to experiment on that last member of my surviving family again after shoving a stupid angel and demon in him, ( fuck you guren!!!!!!!! ) and I ended up here.

Sorry, as you might have guessed, I'm a lot more boring than that. The most Midgar's got is a lot of bandits running amok, and the Church has some dark sides going on, but the vampires're pretty peaceful. So it's mostly just humans messing with each other, and a few kingdoms got half-destroyed in the political struggles, you know how it goes. Me, I'm trying to keep up with my studies in between extracurricular activities.

( Genuine, if a little... frustrated. It's not easy knowing you've been replaced, but he prefers that to Yuu being alone without him. Yuu's ... going to be okay, he thinks. He hopes so. )

... Why do humans insist on having a school sort of thing when everything else is terrible? They tried something similar where I'm from, too. Just do literally anything else.

( It wasn't a real school (just a weird writing choice, but that's too meta), but the fact that the demon army in particular chose that as its way of busying humans and picking out experiments instead of putting them to work on actually useful projects - even ones beneficial to the army - will always escape Mika. Humans are so weird. )

I guess, because school's a sort of tradition and people are really into that no matter the time or place or anything, and they need somewhere to put all the kids and get 'em ready for the proper knighthood if they're good enough. [he shrugs; it's a 'they' because he's a Cid, not a knight knight] It's still probably better than going into the Church...

[Someone save this blondie he's somehow stuck firmly on the childhood friend route without even like, being present in the same dimension. That takes some doing, but is also not entirely out of the question for yandere childhood friendship plots.

I don't know if it's a cult, but it's sanctioned by the government, so it's a proper church. They're just kinda... enthusiastic. And they do human trafficking. And I think they have-- like, rumors that there's assassins. [that's pretty normal for a state religion, though, right] There's also rumors about a real cult supporting their biggest enemy, but that's probably wishful thinking?

And that's 'cause I'm not a knight or anything. I'm just related to a few.

... Okay, so, if that's the church, how fucked up is the government?

[ He's not a part of this conversation, but he orbits Mika closely enough that he hears.

He knows some of this, bits and pieces - a puzzle unfinished that (of course) he was eager to collect... slowly, over time because they had forever. He was half waiting to be fed more of Mika's past, and half wondering if now was the right time to ask. Every moment they were together, was it right to ask now - maybe he shouldn't - and so often, he just didn't.

It's not that he doesn't care. He cares so much about Mika; he cares the most, second to none. But he's only now used to talking, he isn't used to asking yet. He's too used to waiting.

He needs to stop waiting.

It's rare for him to hear such harsh words fall from Mika's sweet lips, like they're nothing - like he's used to the harshness. And hearing this, his heart hurts for Mika because he probably is used to a life striped of the warmth of the open sky; of his own body; of his own heart. He doesn't say anything - and only flinches once (his eyes, his brows, mouth tensing), a slight hiccup in whatever conversation he's trying to hold with another party goer. He needs to stop waiting even if they have forever - because then Mika could be waiting... forever... for him. ]
