Indeed, I attempted to track the chimera's movements myself; nothing much resulted from my attempts...unfortunately. I noted that the tracks originated very far up north and then do make its way for obvious reasons down to the City of Ice. Otherwise, the tracks seem to have ceased being traceable.

In the area far up north, I noticed was that some areas appeared as if there were tussling between creatures, though I doubt it was of great importance.
