[From experience, Ithaqua knows that they can only take one person at a time into their little blizzard for Ithaqua to murder, so he can't simply push Solomon to cast it with him. Then again, the idiot is injured, so... Ugh.
Ithaqua passes him a healing potion.]
Take it this time and be prepared to run. I shall take it. [He reaches into his cape and rummages for a bit, pulling out a jar-- the bag of holding is in his cape, and he stuffed many of his personal belongings in it last week just in case. Oh look, his paranoia was justified.
Ithaqua opens the jar. It smells faintly of strawberries, but that's not important right now. It's good enough as a vessel for the fragment.]

[Kiryu barely waits for the man to finish his raving when Kiryu just goes, running to the mech's base, and delivers a punch.
I rolled a 11, hell yeah. The metal dents a little, and Kiryu's fist doesn't look any worse for the wear]
We stand a chance.
[Kiryu tells that to the rest, having proved the mech can be damaged after all! We'll just need to be clever and it'll all be fine]

[ Oh no, his arm... He needs that! Good news is that it's Comet who is a good bean who saw the damage earlier and this is a whole 20 so give this a bit. The healing will be gradual at the start so things don't get healed wrong? A touch to his shoulder and hand so everything in between can be under the spell. ]
Keep still, okay? And let me know if you need me to reduce the pain.

[H-headpats... yeah, he really kind of does give off a regular impression of needing those, huh. He's certainly not going to complain.]
Yes, and you should do the same.
[He pauses, lips curving upwards just slightly into a tiny smile.]
May we see each other after whatever battle is to come.

[ Yamato runs up to try and do the same, but he ends up tripping on a piece of rubble (3) and eating shit. It's not a hard fall and he's sturdier thanks to being a wizard, but uh. Whoops! He'll be the cheer squad from the ground! ]
Y-yeah. Go, fight, win...
Y-yeah. Go, fight, win...
[Without a word, Kiryu just grabs the back of Yamato's clothes and lifts him up so he's standing again]
Not all hits make contact. It's fine.
[It'd be a miracle if we rolled with luck every time, but nah, won't happen]

[ He looks at Ahito in surprise. ]
...It does. I feel much better than I expected, actually.
[ Good thing, too, because it won't be long before the wraiths are within sight and they can see them edging towards the fragment.
In fact, he'll hold out a hand to get Ahito to stop so they can observe them for a moment or two. ]
Look.

[...poor yama... but he'll be fine, so!
Malice flings a firebolt at the mech (7) but it's mostly just to grab attention, because he follows that up with a yell, waving his good arm.]
Hey, dumbass! You really think your stupid robot's all that? You really think we won't destroy it and you?
[He's aiming to grab aggro to keep the squishy wizards safe!]

[He shakes his head, lip between his teeth and a cold sweat rushing over him as Comet starts to work.]
No. Just... do what you can.
[His focus will be primarily on trying to stay still, which sure is difficult when your arm is crushed and slowly being pulled back together. But he lets his uninjured hand dig into his knee, slow breaths as he tries to keep his left arm steady, even if the rest of him flinches.
Thank god for the 20 so that the pain will, eventually, pass.]

[For all the uncertainty that Phil had about allowing Day to put a protection spell on him (utilizing blood, no less), he finds he can't regret it in this moment as the worst of the blast somehow just... misses him? He catches a bit of the splash damage, to be sure, but it's nothing he can't shake off for the moment. (RIP Day's protection spell, this evening - thirty minutes later) Once his head stops spinning and his heart ceases pounding quite so much, he's retreating some distance away to make himself less of a target as he settles into a casting position.]
We should aim for the legs and attempt to unbalance it. If we can get it off its feet, it should be far easier to attack.
[As he says this, he's going to attempt the same rock spike (8) that he used on the Eastern mission in the hopes of piercing upwards right through its foot. (It's not very effective.)]

So this is the cause of Bruno's vision...
[The reason for the manor's destruction: a disgruntled, megalomaniac Westerner. Urianger can't even find it in him to be surprised. He's always been wary of the Western faction. Now more than ever, he thinks he understands why the Western spirits chose him: to help put an end to the West's ambitions.
He turns his attention toward Yodarha, his fated partner.]
Yodarha, let us spare no effort in ensuring victory. 'Tis time to put our spell to the test.
[He summons his star globe and focus to his side and raises them high with the power of magic.]
Divinatio. Sea of Stars!
[A powerful burst of light erupts from the star globe, blanketing the field in a literal sea of shimmering stars and nebulas. Their warmth surrounds the allied wizards, continuously healing minor damage done until the spell is over.]

[ Ah, so they're feisty wraiths. Well, he supposes they'll need to fight them off.
Kurapika lashes out one of his chains towards a wraith, the hit connecting and causing it to dissipate into a puff of air (13). As he's distracted, another wraith aims its claws at him, attempting to swipe, but failing when Kurapika swerves out of the way on his broom (2). ]
...They're aggressive. We may have to fight them back if we want to get the stone.
[ Though his gaze floats down to the wizards trying to protect it. ]
I'm sure they'll be willing to assist us with it too.

[Ithaqua just drops Phil back onto the ground-- no. He'll find Urianger is completely unharmed, though!]
I am fine, thanks to the efforts of Robin. He shielded myself and Bruno before the blast.
And thyself?
[He's looking Ithaqua up and down as best he can.]

[ There's not a lot of time to change, but luckily magic solves everything. After all the wizards delegate among themselves, Ginger dons the robes that were gifted to him. The outfit should feel fussy, cumbersome - too many layers, too many dangly bits. Somehow, it feels just right. Somehow, he feels stronger in them. ]
... Think I finally look the part of a wizard.
[ There's a sort of relief to being paired up with Mika even though the situation is tense. Ginger trusts them together.
He sweeps Mika into a hug and presses a kiss to his forehead, the kind between family - a wish for them both to come out of this whole and hale. And - quietly, but not sneakily, he tucks the Mark of Grima into Mika's pocket, where it was meant to go. ]
Take care of yourself for me? I'll take care of myself for you.
[ That's the best way, he knows, to keep them both somewhat in check.
And before anything starts, he takes a moment to whisper to the Central spirits, assuring them that they have him and the others. He hopes they're not scared; he hopes they know the wizards here will defend them. ]

[ Day's been out in a storm before (long story), but never in one so intense that he feels like he can barely think. Southern weather really pulling through, eh.
He immediately casts a blessing on Cid and himself, something meant to make it easier for them to avoid the plants. ]
How good's your swimmin'?

I'm glad for it. I'd rather not deal with wizards looking for a fight.
[ Like those Northern wizards...
Kurapika hits another wraith with the ball-end of his chain and it completely disperses into the air like the others (18). Like clockwork, another wraith swipes at Kurapika as he's finishing up his attack, but he dodges it easily (8). ]
Here I was, thinking we might need to use our spell.

It's just a bit of mine.
[ For what it's worth since Day knows it doesn't sound that reassuring. He snaps his fingers to don a different outfit, then moves behind Phil to brush aside his hair and gently tug his high collar down. He may as well at least try to recreate some of the conditions he was relying on when he made the original protection charm. The spirits seem to have a thing for whimsical outfits. ]
...Sorry if this feels a lil' gross.

I'm unharmed, you needn't worry. [He turns his head to check if anyone is around... before removing his mask and leaning down to press his nose against Urianger's cheek.]
We will be busy for the foreseeable future... Take care of yourself.

[ Thank you, partner. He'll get back on his feet and dust off his clothes. ]
Yeah, true...but you're right. We got this.
