[ it's not because he cares in the least or anything so don't misunderstand him. if he goes down someone can get him back up, if they go down then well, he can heal, but... :/

thanks to both bruno and urianger, though, the injuries he still possesses if any are just superficial at most. there's more extensive damage to his clothing, though, the worn cloak clearly having seen better days by this point... which gets a 'tsk' out of him. unfortunately for him, it's both magically reinforced and practically soaked in his magic; the sigils on it have been serving as augments for his ability to transform the same way that magic circles might.

there's another outfit he's worked on enchanting similarly, just because it's something he can freely don and dispel on a whim and thus is convenient— but he actually hadn't thought it would be necessary so quickly... oh well, nothing for it right now. a snap of his fingers, and the worn old tactician's coat is replaced with something substantially more decorated. ]
