Tatara doesn't seem particularly hurt or panicked or worried by the conversation. He just watches with an even expression, eyes darting back and forth between them.
He knows Khun pretty well by now, and while his sharp edges are the reason why they get on so well, he knows that's not the case for everyone. So he gets from his seat and slides into one near Bruno. ]
I will be. And my time here has been really happy since I got to know people like you, Uncle Bruno.
[ He means this sincerely. And in a show of that, he extends a fist for a fistbump, an echo of when he decided to go get him a bed. ]
That's just his own way of acknowledging your apology. It's okay. [ More to ease any rough edges around Bruno than to put Khun on the spot. ] I'll always remember you, even after we leave.

I'll be in my lighthouse, come in whenever you want. [ and then he'll move to do that, maybe him ostensibly being out of their vicinity will make bruno less nervous. it's slightly easier to keep track of his other lighthouse by Akira like this anyway. ]

...if that's his way of acknowledging it, I sure wish he would just say so.
[ He sighs, moving so that he can look at Tatara instead. Again, with the fist bump! But this time, he'll do it properly, albeit without a whole lot of energy. ]
I'm glad I met you, too, Tatara. Khun, too, I just... wish he felt the same, but what can ya do, right? I've spent way too much of my life letting people walk over me. I think... I think that I'm done with that, even if it means he doesn't like me in the end.

And with Khun gone, Tatara turns to smile at him. Tatara knows full well Khun can hear him out here, but that doesn't stop him. ]
I don't think he dislikes you. [ It's okay the fistbump doesn't come with a lot of energy, he wasn't expecting it to. ] I don't think he would've bothered with a conversation at all if he did.
[ There's a sympathetic look in his eyes as he considers something else, and his smile eases a bit. ]
I guess the timing was just unlucky. Between the disagreement and the upcoming end, he might've just thought it would be easier to let that be it.

[ And Bruno can't help but sound sad about that. It is, isn't it? He's made friends here. That isn't something he can claim at home, where he's going to have to walk right back into a huge mess. ]
I've liked having friends or. Or just people I can talk to. You, Solomon, Akira, Ahito, even Khun. I never expected to find my language somewhere out there, in a completely different world.
