out of options for who i can be
LIGHT UP THE FIREWORKS
“I need you to come with me,” he says, arms crossed and a furrow between his brows. “Something’s not right, even more than things usually aren't right.”
Vague, but do you really have the option to ignore him? You can certainly try, but it won’t get you anywhere. You’re being dragged onto this impromptu excursion whether you want to go or not. Lazuli drags the group to the elevator, using a mana stone to transport everyone to the Northern tower. On the other side is the same snowy wasteland that’s always there, and nothing seems amiss no matter how hard you strain your senses. Lazuli seems to get even more tense, though, summoning and mounting his broom.
“Follow me. We can talk while we fly, but we don’t have long.”
OOC NOTES
🌙 Welcome to the mini-event! This isn't going to be anything too crazy and not likely to impact the trajectory of the game too terribly if you spend the entire thing just fucking around and finding out, so just have fun! If you play your cards right, though, you might find yourselves a new ally.

...Does it have any color in particular from where they are? Or would there need to be steps taken closer to even gauge that? ]

[ If, for example, one ventures somewhat closer, can there be anything else noticed strange around its closer general surroundings? ]

[He's coming with, let's go!!]

Color has returned to the world, but not much. The ground around him is rocky and black, and the structure is a deep, rusty red, with something black coiled around it like an elaborate facade.]

[ Jing Yuan shakes his head just a bit at that. ]
Did anyone else feel that? Did you...?
[ His aborted question to Malice, but it also applies to everyone else.
Red, huh? And black. This is quite odd in a myriad ways, enough to have made him stop for a moment. Does this building even have a door? ]
no subject
[He's here, claws at the ready in case of danger.]
Like everythin' shifted, yeah? Just remember what Laz said. Don't take what ya see at face value.
no subject
...Of course.
This must be where such advice will truly come in handy.

[...hey speaking of, are our friends gone on this side or can Malice and Jing Yuan still see the others?]
no subject
It feels like they have crossed over to somewhere else entirely.]
no subject
Anyway he probably should notice that now, huh.]
...Hey, uh, Jin? Seems we're missin' a few people.
[please tell me jing yuan did not also fail the spot check!!!]
no subject
Well, failing the spot check did not happen exactly, he was just...looking in the wrong direction or something, it's fine. ]
Mm. It appears that is exactly the case.
We should probably see if the others will come over before going any further.

'Kay, makes sense. Better not to go runnin' off an' get lost, right? 'Sides, what would they do without us?
[He's joking to keep the mood light, but is now really the time....]
no subject
That would be most unfortunate. I suppose worst comes to worst and we do not see them cross over at a certain time, we can attempt to retrace our steps.
But, you also ask a good question. We are quite capable individuals, after all.
[ Jing Yuan apparently is joining him in keeping the mood light too, because he is just that type of person.
...While having no idea Kurapika is tossing a goddamn knife over at this very moment. ]

Also, it doesn't seem like there's a door, but it seems like there's a spiraling ramp on the outside of the structure.]
no subject
...Did you see them disappear?

Illusions, or a trap...?
no subject
[ points to it as the mods noted. ]

[ He frowns. ]
Should we go after them...?
no subject
[He's not thrilled about marching forward and vanishing without a trace for some reason.]
no subject
[ He pulls a sheathed knife out of his pocket. ]
I can throw this. Hopefully those two are far enough away and can dodge it.
[ He doesn't wait for an answer before yeeting it. ]
