[ Growth can encompass a lot of things, but it doesn’t mean Kurapika has changed completely either. Committing the grave sin of conspiring to kill all of them is enough for Kurapika to believe he deserves to die.
Of that much, he’s certain.
Yet it’s obvious even now that this man won’t have it easy, even if he were to live. Failure ensures as much. ]
Do as you like. He’ll be punished for his sins in due time regardless.
[ At this point, it’s simply a matter of when. ]

[Oh, hello. He lowers his arms so he can place a hand on Ithaqua's back.]
Mm... As much as I would hope that he shall learn from his defeat, I do not foresee atonement coming easily to him.
[He heard some of what the dude was ranting about. That was some deep-seated hatred, and he was only compounding upon his sins by attacking the manor.]

I dunno that he's all that important? Kinda shrieky for that.
[Says the guy who missed like, all of the villain monologuing beforehand. It probably wasn't anything plot-relevant, he thinks.]
Plus, pretty sure none of this was his idea anyway -- they probably just stuck him in there and waited for him to explode.
[That seems to be the type of guy this is?? You don't stick a plot-important NPC in a murder mech and then send him out by himself (Cid also missed most of the drones and the Northern reinforcements got swept fast enough he forgot about them).]

His excuses towards us may have come from a place of ego and bruised pride, but it was clear from his words that he hates us for being wizards. Not dissimilar to rhetoric I'd heard in the past.
[You know, the one that nearly killed his mother and got him thrown out into the forest.]

[ fyi he's doing this out of earshot of the guy. ]
It's more likely he's just fodder, yeah. But I've known noble families who's fifth sons run off with stupid ideas like this, so it's better just to make sure. I highly doubt he's nobility or royalty, but I've seen stranger.

To be frank, I don't care what happens to him.
[ BIG SHRUG!! He's not salty at all, wdym- ]
Like Ithaqua, though, I'll defer to Tatara.

[Cid would simply do this to the guy's face so it's good that they are not doing that. ☆]
If he's either, pretty sure they'd just cut him off for being embarrassing...
[Some heirs have been cut off for less!! The upper crust is fickle!!
Plus this guy is pretty extreme for West (facade); but it's too much effort to deal with the politics so Cid will just let other people deal with the reasoning for that stuff. Instead he thinks it over some more.]
I guess I don't really care either way. [these guys always end up dying at this point in the plot, he thinks? but maybe he's here to show the protagonists' development and better natures...] I think he was supposed to be all tight-lipped? It might take a while.
[He's excusing himself from interrogation duty, he doesn't want to spend a week with Mook #15.]

[ blandly: ] I've lived off of corpses before.
[ like, undead, corpsey, very long dead and not just the technicality of most things killing their food before they eat them. i've said he's probably part vulture so like. gestures. ]
Unless you mean to say that whatever filth is poisoning his mind would make him even worse than that?

Wow. Dragons have it tough.
[He's imagining that it's because sometimes dragons are too small to like, hunt dragon food and thus some kind of Yamato-sized dragon has to live by scavenging. Very sad. Much consumption of roadkill.]
I was wonderin' if he got experimented on or something to be that crazy... but I guess you don't always have to be experimented on to be crazy.

An unfortunately common sentiment in this world...particularly within the West. [It's awful, and definitely familiar to what Ithaqua has told him.] But to go so far as he hath...
He is deserving of punishment- that much is certain.
[Urianger wouldn't default to executing him, though. Making him live with his failure in a place where he cannot try this again should be punishment enough.
Well, they'll just have to see how the majority pans out.]

Personally, I don't think he should die. Guy oughta live to suffer the consequences of his choices. 'Course, if we can squeeze anythin' useful out of this guy that'd be great too.
[ There are a few other nuances to this opinion, but Day doesn't think he needs to explain all of them since a few relate more to his principles than anything particularly relevant to their circumstances. ]
Buuuut if y'all decide he's better off dead, I ain't gonna stop anyone.
