I don't think hurtin' or killin' him is the answer. That much is clear! However, there's a whole lotta damage he caused, both directly and indirectly. At the bare minimum, I think he should help rebuild the manor. Maybe with more direct interactin' with wizards, it'll soften his grudge a tad.
