the beach episode (dated before the east mission)
There's a small slice of sandy beach between mountains and wasteland, where the South meets Central, only an inlet of ocean between them, and that is where Bruno has decided to set up camp.
Literally.
He only had a simple tent and supplies for two initially. Tatara had asked if he could join him on his little trip out and how could he say no? Unfortunately for him, Tatara may have decided to invite everyone else, too, so, welcome, everyone, to the beach episode and a chance to relax after a potentially rough week in the City of Rain.
The sand is warm and fine, the water isn't too chilly, and scrubby little palm trees and plant life dot the dunes. Sea birds are the most active wildlife out here, not counting whatever fish can be found dwelling in the depths of the inlet between South and Central or further out into the ocean. It's comfortable enough... unless you hate sand, that is! You don't hate sand, right?
Since Tatara's arrival, more than Bruno's humble setup can be found.
And, of course, anything the other wizards have decided to bring! Bruno wasn't expecting a party but now that it's here, he sure can't tell them not to have fun however they want.

- There's food fit for a picnic and enough bottles of wine for the evening.
- In the evening, a (non-deadly) bonfire will be built and there'll be pillows to sit on for those who don't want to sit directly on the sand.
- A few colorful rough wool blankets laid out under umbrellas meant to provide shade.
- There's still only one sad-looking tent... However! Bruno's gone ahead and enchanted it so that, when one pushes the cloth flap aside and enters, they'll find a much more comfortable setup inside.
And, of course, anything the other wizards have decided to bring! Bruno wasn't expecting a party but now that it's here, he sure can't tell them not to have fun however they want.

Are you drunk now?
[He leans over, and sniffs. Then he wrinkles his nose. No, doesn't seem like Solomon's drunk enough to lose control of his limbs. So.
Why is there wine on his leg? And why couldn't it have settled on his shorts that he would have tossed later, why is it on his skin.]
no subject
Give me a moment and I'll see to cleaning you up.
no subject
It's bloody warm enough, yes, and made more unpleasant when there's a lush right next to you, dripping wine on your skin. [It's sticky. He needs a bath.
And perhaps Solomon needs one too, just to wake up.
Ithaqua stands, and begins to manhandle Solomon onto his shoulder. He may be close to melting in his heat, but he can at least still try this.]
no subject
Wh-- Ithaqua, what the hell are you doing??
[His reflexes are still enough to pull at Ithaqua's arms in protest (14), but he is not a physically strong man in any form of the word.]
And who are you calling a lush??? Do I smell that drunk to you?
no subject
Nevermind the small height difference between them, Ithaqua is determined.
Determined to what? March outside of the tent and all the way down the beach to the water, scowling when he has to walk barefoot on the sand again.
Since he's too tired to just toss Solomon into the water with all his strength (14), he runs all the way into it to dunk both of them.]

As his feet first leave the ground, Solomon genuinely looks angry, enough that Ithaqua might very well feel the start of a spell. But it's as though the magic fizzles in the tension of the moment, especially as Ithaqua forces them both towards the exit of the tent.]
What are you -- Ithaqua! Put me down!
[It's clear that's not happening. But as the fellow North faces the water and speeds up, he'll feel an immediate tension under his hands as Solomon's grip freezes, and then starts to dig more insistently, legs flailing with a very bald-faced panic in his eyes.
But it's pointless flailing, and both of them end up crashing into the sea water at full speed.
He pushes away, coughing and sputtering as his wet hair clings to his face as he tries to free himself, right himself. Ground, where's the ground where's the shore--]
Get-- off of me, Ithaqua! [It's garbled under the crash of another wave. Oh well. Maybe they're getting clean, at least.]
no subject
He's gotten himself to cling to Solomon's waist to try and drag him back in, growling. (15)]
no subject
Hope Ithaqua's ready for a harsh slap to the face... or, well, mask (15) in an attempt to get him to back off.]
no subject
It slips off and he doesn't even notice because his attention is just on Solomon and getting him as wet as possible. Where did it go? Who knows?
He just stands up as straight as he can and puts his weight on Solomon in an attempt to handle his flailing limbs.]
no subject
Maybe that's why Ithaqua's immediate pinning of him works pretty effectively (9), the older wizard losing his footing in the crashing waves and waist-deep water. He takes in a mouthful of water and starts sputtering again, though his flailing is far less effective with Ithaqua now sitting on him.]
--Get -- off of me!
[Except there comes another wave and he's sputtering once again. This is far more exhausting than he's used to. But he'll still try to kick his leg out at Ithaqua's to see if it will connect and bring him right back down with him.]
no subject
And he's tired enough that... he's lost all care about what happened to his mask, and that his face is fully exposed for the rest of the wizards to see. (4) All he does is give a snort down at Solomon, tugs the wet hood over his equally wet hair, and starts the crawl back onto shore.]
no subject
He mutters an incantation, but nothing happens outside the wisp of a breeze. Frustrated, he tries again, before immediately giving up. He's not about to catch a cold like this.
Due to the water soaking down his clothes, his pace stays painfully slow. But Solomon will at least manage to peel off his shirt up and over his head, wringing it out into the sand. Eugh. Ugh. Why can't he just instantly dry these...]

I'm guessin' you don't wanna be here any longer, yeah? Wanna head back into the woods?
[It may not be as comfortable as the tent, but it seems like a place Ithaqua likes and it'll keep people from staring at the Ithaqua's face, so maybe that'll help?]
